Resume of Wenlun Liang

Born in 1955 in a painting family in Dalian, but my ancestral home is pingdu, shandong province.

Since 1979, I have been admitted to the Department of Ceramic Arts of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, Now the Academy of Arts of Qinghua University.

founded my own ceramics studio in 1990.

In 1995, the first personal ceramics exhibition was held. The Taiwan 《Artist》reported it

Art Exchange in Bangkok, Thailand, invited in December 1997.

Established Wenlun Ceramic Art franchise. CCTV International Channel Special Report

In 2001,Attended the 35th Annual Conference of American Ceramic Education in Charlotee, and exhibited my works.

Making gifts for government organs and groups for long time since government established a demonstration workshop of ceramics in May 2004.

In August 2005,I was awarded senior arts and crafts artist by the state.

CCTV international channel special reported on ceramic art life in May 2007.

I was founded Dalian Ceramics Society on September 11, 2007, and was elected president. There were more than 300 members at that time.

Also established International Artist Rotation Workshop and Student Practice Base on November 5,2007.

China Dalian Ceramic Works Exhibition on June 1,2008, Auctions for 18works sent to Hope Primary School in Wenchuan Disaster-stricken Area.

In 2010,Attended the 42th Annual Conference of American Ceramic Education in Seattle, and was invited to give ceramics lectures at Dalian Institute of Art and Design,China.

In April,2009,the TV drama《became a family》started shooting in my ceramics studio.

In March 2019,Attended the 53th Annual Conference of American Ceramic Education in Minneapolis.

About Marine Plant Series works , 《Entanglement》which was created in 1998 is included in《The Complete Works of Modern Chinese Art 》.

《Still Life-Years》won a bronze prize,《Cloned Sheep-Dolly》won the excellence award, In the 2nd China Ceramic Art Exhibition sponsored by China Artistic Association in 2003.

《The Soul of the Cow》《Still Life》were included in《China Today’s Ceramic Art Collection》by published Wang Ming.

In Oct.2005,《Entanglement》was published in Fine Arts of Chinese Colleges and Universities and Design Education Textbook 《Modern Ceramics Course》

In May 2006,I won the Excellent creation Award and Prize of Literature Art in Dalian,China.

In January 2007, 《The Soul of the Cow》was published in Foundation of Ceramic Art which is textbooks for Art Design Planning in Higher Education.

In Oct.2012《The Soul of the Cow》and 《Old House Gate》were collected by contemporary ceramics wrote by Zhou Guangzhen.

Works Purchased and Collected(Part)

28 works of Marine Life Series were bought out by the Marine World of Santa Asia in 1995.

56 works were purchased by Time Group Liaoning Shopping Center in 1999.

In 2000,《Still Life》was collected by the Ceramic Art Museum of Academy of Arts, Qinghua University.

《Ting》and《Old House 》 was collected by Dalian Modern Museum of China.

In December 2021, I joined the Internationgal Academy of Ceramics(IAC).
